Mid-Week Bible Study
Mid-Week Bible Study for adults continues Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm in the FLC. We are studying the Book of Daniel, looking at his prophecies concerning the coming of the Messiah and of His second coming. A Zoom option is also available for those who wish to join us from home. Come and explore the Word with us.
21st Anniversary Celebration
Help us celebrate our 21st anniversary Sunday, May 18th. We will begin with family worship including some of Cornerstone’s favorite songs. After worship, we will have an indoor picnic. Please bring your favorite picnic side. Hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be provided. Don’t miss this Anniversary celebration.
Pray For Our Youth
The youth are planning a mission trip to Western NC to help with the hurricane clean-up on May 15 to 18. They are connecting with a church in Boone that will lodge and direct them where their help is needed. Please pray for their protection, service and for those they hope to encourage. If you would like to support the youth in this outreach, mark your donations “Youth Mission Trip”. All funds collected will go to support the ministry that is housing them.
“Change for Life” – Baby Bottle Drive
You can help change a lfe through the Davie Pregnancy Center. Please pick up a baby bottle next week from the lobby and deposit your change in it. When it is full, leave it in the lobby in the designated box and pick up another. We will be doing this outreach through May 25th in honor of Mother’s Day.
Awana Club Continues
The Awana program is at Cornerstone every Wednesday, at 6:30pm. The Awana Club is a Bible-based children’s ministry program focused on teaching children the Gospel of Jesus Christ through scripture memory, Bible lessons, games, and activities. Please see Katie Naylor for more information.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Sunday, May 4th all men are invited to join us for a Men’s Fellowship breakfast of biscuits & coffee at 7:30am in the Children’s Church Room #101 which will include a short devotional focused on Godly men. Donations to help with the biscuits are appreciated. Men are encouraged to bring their sons and other young men to join us. Come and get to know your brothers in Christ and be blessed!
Graduation is Coming
Are you or someone in your family graduating in the next few months? Please be sure to notify our church office (cornerstone@c3davie.org or 336-998-0600), so that your family at Cornerstone can celebrate this wonderful life event along with you. We will honor our graduates on June 8th at 10am.
Monthly Mission Moment – Sarah Brent
Sarah and her team are living among and reaching out to the “Cloud People” in New York City, NY. Through music and storytelling, they share the gospel message of love and forgiveness with this unreached people group. Cornerstone supports Sarah through prayer and monthly giving.
New Canaan Society of Davie
All men are invited to come to the Davie County New Canaan Society meeting this Thursday at 7am at 801 Southern Kitchen. This is a Christian fellowship for men where men share their personal testimony and prayer. For more information, see Jay Abernethy.
Youth News – Wednesdays – 6:30pm
Help Our Youth Go To Snowbird
Our Youth are going to Snowbird Summer Camp July 21st to 26th. You can support them by taking an envelope from the board in the lobby, filling it with the appropriate amount and dropping it in the offering box. Your donation is tax deductible and goes toward camp fees, van rental, food, gas, etc.
A Storehouse for Jesus needs includes (Urgent Need) for men’s shoes. They also need shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and bar soap. As well as the continued need for Plastic Grocery Bags, Cereal, Saltine Crackers, Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Canned Soup. Place your donations in the labeled bin next to the Lost and Found. A Storehouse for Jesus is also in need of volunteers. If you would like to be a part of this team, please contact them at 336-753-8081.
