Mid-Week Bible Study
Mid-Week Bible Study for adults on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm in the FLC. We are looking at how to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through the book of Psalms. A Zoom option is also available for those who wish to join us from home. Come and explore the Word with us.
22nd Anniversary Celebration
Help us celebrate our 22nd anniversary Sunday, May 17th. We will begin with family worship including some of Cornerstone’s favorite songs. After worship, we will have an indoor picnic. Please bring your favorite picnic side. Hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be provided. Don’t miss this Anniversary celebration.
“Change for Life” – Baby Bottle Drive
You can help change a life through the Davie Pregnancy Center. Please pick up a baby bottle from the lobby and deposit your change in it. When it is full, leave it in the lobby in the designated box and pick up another. We will be doing this outreach through May 31st in honor of Mother’s Day.
Young Adults
We now have a young adults’ group that will meet every other month to hang out and fellowship! If you are a recently graduated youth to 25-year-olds we would love you to join us! Our next meetup will be May 8th at 6:30pm at La Carretta in Advance. Please let Jessica Gwyn know if you can attend by May 6th. Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Sunday, May 3rd all men are invited to join us for a Men’s Fellowship breakfast of biscuits & coffee at 7:30am in the Children’s Church Room #101 which will include a short devotional focused on Godly men. Donations to help with the biscuits are appreciated. Men are encouraged to bring their sons and other young men to join us. Come and get to know your brothers in Christ and be blessed!
Red Cross Blood Drive
The Red Cross will do a blood drive here at Cornerstone Friday, May 8th from 1:30 to 6pm. Go to www.redcrossblood.org enter our zip code (27028), click on Cornerstone Christian Church to sign up.
May Mission Highlight – Cordero de Dios
Cordero de Dios is serving the Winston Salem community while engaging and encouraging others through a life- changing journey. Their mission is to nurture a diverse and welcoming community. They are committed to following fearlessly wherever God is leading them and to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Winston Salem and the world! Cornerstone supports Cordero de Dios through prayer, fellowship, and monthly support.
He Brews Coffee Bar
The youth open their coffee bar Sundays at 8:30am. Come early, get your coffee, and support our youth.
New Canaan Society of Davie
All men are invited to come to the Davie County New Canaan Society meeting this Thursday at 7am at 801 Southern Kitchen. This is a Christian fellowship for men where men share their personal testimony and prayer. For more information, see Jay Abernethy.
Youth News – Wednesdays – 6:30pm
A Storehouse for Jesus needs includes (Urgent Need) Children’s clothing sizes 6 to 14 & blankets. They also need Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes and Bar Soap. As well as the continued need for Plastic Grocery Bags, 12-count Egg Cartons, Frosting, Cereal, Saltine Crackers, Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Canned Soup. Place your donations in the labeled bin next to the Lost and Found. A Storehouse for Jesus is also in need of volunteers.
