Event Calendars – January 2019

Upcoming Highlights Include:

Parenting Through the Phases

Your kid is changing every week! Just as you begin to figure them out, they shift or move on to a new rhythm, a new habit, and a new opinion. It can make the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to. Check out the new Parenting Through the Phases Small Group Study continues this Wednesday, at 7pm.  Child care provided

Help the Youth! Help the Homeless!

The youth are looking for donations to put together hygiene kits for the homeless.  If you are able to donate any of the following items, please place them in the container in the lobby: Soap, wash cloths, socks, tooth brushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, deodorant, wipes, chap stick, or lotion.  The youth will unveil more about this in the future!

Coffee Hour

Our study of Romans continues Thursday, January 17th at 10am. Come enjoy a light snack and good coffee as we fellowship around the Word of God.

The Little Way Meet-Up

God wants you to live a healthy and whole life! All you need to do is be willing to take the humble way, the little way, back to finding out who you are and what you’re living for.  Join us for this FREE Little Way Meet-Up on Saturday, Jan 19th from 1-4PM for 30 minutes of joyful movement, worshipful Bible teaching, discussion groups and more from the fitness ministry, Revelation Wellness.  See Dawn Miles for more info:

Mondays 7-9pm there is open basketball for middle school and up in the FLC.   Come and get some exercise or just cheer the player on!

All men are invited to come to the Davie County New Canaan Society meeting this Thursday at Captain Galley Restaurant at 7am.  This is a Christian fellowship for men where men share their personal testimony and prayer.   For more information, see Chuck Bradford.

Monthly Mission Moment – Michael & Naomi Woo

Michael served with OMF for 15 years working with unreached people groups, especially the Shan Dai in China.  Michael married Naomi in the summer of 2018 and Naomi has joined OMF to work in missions alongside of Michael.  The Woo family now serve as leaders in the USA to mobilize long- term workers in Southeast Asia; raising the next generation of mission workers.  Cornerstone continues to support their vision for church planting to the least reached.
